Netball Waitakere Update
As at Monday 18th May 2020
We hope everyone has been keeping well and looking forward to getting back into netball. With NZ moving into level 2, our hopes of having a full 2020 Season have come alive. We appreciate everyone being so patient and understand that you have a lot of questions in regards to how the 2020 season will unfold. Please see the details listed below and if you have any further questions you can phone or email us.
Netball NZ has implemented a three-phased approach for returning to Netball:
- Get Ready to Play (15/5/20- minimum 2 weeks)
- Netball centres open, staff return to work
- No netball activity, training or playing
- Prepare to Play (Date TBC)
- Trainings can commence
- Return to Play (Date TBC)
Further information and dates on phases 2 & 3 are still to be released.
So, what does that mean for you?
- Netball Waitakere is open for staff to return to work but closed to the public
- No netball activity, training or playing to take place until “Prepare to Play”
- Online courses are currently available for free, see below for details
- Once teams can start training, courts will only be available to teams that book
- Registrations are open and we ask that you register sooner rather than later
- Fees are currently being reviewed and will be released shortly
