Netball Waitākere Club Premier Competition
Netball Waitākere Club Premier competition is run during the winter season. The competition is held on a Wednesday evening with the first round of games starting at 6:30pm.
Twelve teams compete across two grades consisting of six teams per grade - Premier 1 and Premier 2.
Promotion/Relegation takes place after each round, between the bottom team of Premier 1 and the top team of Premier 2. In addition to this is the Promo/Rele after each round between the bottom team of Premier 2 and the Top team of Senior A.

The NW Membership fee for each Premier team for 2024 is $1,123.55 (incl.GST)
2024 Affiliation Fees (Additional to NW Fee)
- Netball New Zealand = $65.00 per team
- Netball Northern Zone = $232.50 per team
Total Fee = $1,421.05

Premier Grade – Restricted Entry
Our Premier grade & entry will be determined by 2023 seedings.
- Grading Day #1, Wednesday 13th March 2024
- Grading Day #2, Wednesday 20th March 2024
- Grading Day #3, Wednesday 27th March 2024
- 2x Rounds per grading day @ 6.30pm & 8.00pm
- Teams will play 1x game per grading day
- Games will be 60minutes.
- A maximum of 12 grading spots available
- New clubs for 2024 are not permitted to grade into the Premier grade (Restricted entry) and must grade/begin in Senior A, with the opportunity to move up into Premier grade with Promotion/Relegation games at the end of Rounds 1 & 2.
Premier 1
- Top 4 finishing teams from the 2023 season, automatically qualify for a place in Premier 1 and will not be required to grade
- In the instance where a team from the top 4 will not be returning, the place becomes available to the 5th seeded team etc.
- The remaining (2) Premier 1 spots will be determined by grading
Premier 2
- Premier 2 spots (6) will be determined by grading
- Teams finishing in the Premier 1 & 2 grade 2023 will have first preference for 8 grading spots
- An additional 4 teams may enter the grading format to make up a maximum of 12 teams, these teams are based on seedings from 2023 Senior placings
