Star Helper Course

Are you new to coaching Year 1-4 netball? Join our Introductory Coaching Course and gain the confidence and knowledge to support our young players! This session will help you understand the modified game of netball, the key focus areas for this age group, and the FutureFERNS format—designed to make learning fun and engaging for our future netball stars.

futureFERNS Competition - Thursday Afternoons 

Netball Waitākere futureFERNS competition is run during the winter season and is split into two different year groups - Years 1 & 2 (playing inside) and Years 3 & 4 (playing outside).

The competition is held on Thursday afternoons with the first game starting at 3:50pm for year 1 and 2 and 4pm for year 3 and 4. 

For our Years 1 - 4, we follow the Netball New Zealand futureFERNS format. Information regarding this can be found on the links to the right.
